[LV] Lai gan Ziemassvētki tika sagaidīti ar lietu un temperatūru, ko ziemas laikam atbilstoši saukt par aukstu būtu kauns, Ziema beidzot ir ieradusies. Ziema ir ieradusies un temperatūras stabiņam likusi noslīdēt zem -10C. Un nepārsteidzošā kārtā tas tiešām priecē. Man patīk ziema!
Lai gan sniega vēljoprojām nav daudz, un visdrīzāk arī nebūs, apsnigušie koki izskatās kā no pasakas. Pēdējās dienas sanācis pāris reizes braukt posmā Rīga – Ventspils un katru reizi ir prieks skatīties apkārt. Prieks arī apstāties, izkāpt no auto, ieelpot ziemīgi svaigo gaisu un izbaudīt ziemas burvību.
Iespēja iesākt jauno gadu šādos dabas apstākļos tiešām priecēs mūsu sirdis un ir tas, ar ko mums asociējās ziema, Ziemassvētki un jaunais gads. Laimīgu Jauno 2016! ;)
[EN] Despite the fact that we had not-at-all white Christmas, which included some rain and temperature well above zero. Winter finally arrived. It has arrived in full force, pushing temperature well below freezing (-12C/10F). And that truly brings happiness! I love winter!
There haven’t been a massive snowfall, but that hasn’t stopped some of the snow from falling and staying on trees and making them look like they came out of a fairy tale. In last few days we have driven from Riga to Ventspils few times, and every time joy fills our hearts when we look around. It’s so great to be able to stop, get out of the car, breath in winter air and enjoy this winter wonderland.
Opportunity to start a new year under these circumstances is truly wonderful and makes us super excited, as this is what we associate winter, Christmas and New Year with. Happy New 2016 ;)
