Brīdī, kad rakstu šos vārdus esam ceļā uz Kanādas austrum krastu un galu galā Eiropu. Gribētos teikt, ka dodamies tajā virzienā lēnām, tomēr mūsu pārvietošanās ātrums visdrīzāk pārsniedz 800km/h. Ko par gluži “lēnām” nosaukt ir grūti. Ir klāt tas laiks, kad darbi ir apdarīti un atkal var mesties piedzīvojumos. Forši!
Kā parasti nostrādāts tikai līdz iespējami pēdējai dienai. Četri mēneši aizskrēja nemanot. Tikko ievācāmies “jaunajā dzīvoklī”, un tagad jau esam izvākušies, noparkojuši Astrīdu uz dažiem mēnešiem, noglabājuši mūsu mantu kastes un gatavi jauniem piedzīvojumiem.
Daži no jums jau zin, ka galvenais iemesls Eiropas ceļojumam ir labu draugu lēmums iestūrēt laulības ostā (prieks par jums!!!). Bet tie jau nebūtu mēs, ja tā vienkārši aizlidotu un atlidotu atpakaļ. Tā vietā, lai pa taisno dotos uz Latviju tika pieņemts lēmums izmest nelielu līkumiņu. Ne tikai tas vien, bet arī parādījās vēlēšanās apceļot Latviju, jo ir sajūta, ka vienmēr raujamies apceļot ārzemes, bet Latviju aizmirstam. Realitāte gan ir tāda, ka Latvijā ir tik daudz ko redzēt. Papildus tam tagad arī ir laiks un iespēja!

As I write these lines we are making our way towards east cost of Canada and eventually Europe. I would like to say slowly, but reality is that we are probably doing 800 km/h. Yes, it’s that time of year again – we have finished up working and are back to adventures. Happy time!
Worked until the last day possible and got on the road (plane) next day. 4 months flew by really quickly. We just moved into to our “new place” and now we have moved out, parked Astrid for few months (until we get back), put our stuff in storage and ready for new adventures.
Some of you already might now, that main reason we are heading back to Europe, is because our friends decided to tie the knot (exciting!). But we added little twist to it. Instead of going directly to Latvia, we have decided to make a little detour. And not only that – we are also planning to do a bit of traveling in Latvia itself. We feel that we haven’t done that enough while we were growing up. We did took every opportunity to explore other countries, but didn’t explore our “back yard”. Now it’s time.
[LV] Tad kāds ir mūsu plāns, ja tāds ir vispār? Pirmā sarakstā ir Skotija. Tā ir vieta, par kuras apmeklēšanu jau kādu ilgāku laiku bijām sapņojuši. Visi apstākļi veiksmīgi sakrita un mums ir iespēja to apmeklēt, apskatīt un izbaudīt nākošo divu nedēļu laikā. Cerams, ka arī laikapstākļi ar mums kooperēsies! :)
[EN] So what’s our plan, if there is one? First on the list is Scotland. We have been dreaming about visiting it for a while and now everything felt into place and we will have opportunity to explore it for almost two full weeks. I really hope the weather is mostly in our favor! :)
[LV] Otrais piedzīvojums, kuram vēlamies nodoties ir jau iepriekš minētā Latvijas apceļošana. Tikai mūsu gadījumā plānojam to darīt ar velo, apbraucot tai apkārt. Ņemot vērā, ka iepriekšējas pieredzes velo tūrismā mums ir tieši nulle, tas varētu izvērsties par interesantu pasākumu. Mūsu labā gan vajadzētu strādāt laikam, jo plānojam šai aktivitātei veltīt kādu mēnesi. Bet skaidrs ir viens, būs dienas, kad garlaicīgi nebūs. Gadījumā, ja ir jautājums par to kāds ir mūsu ekipējums šim ceļojumam, tad šobrīd tas ir diezgan neesošs. Bet viss būs un tas ir pats labākais šajā pasākumā. :)
Visā visumā esam sajūsmā par to, kas mūs gaida. ;)
[EN] Second adventure we want to take on is cycle around Latvia. As we have never done any traveling on two wheels, it might be challenging. But we are in no rush and are planning to spend around month on this activity. I don’t doubt it will be “interesting” some days, but it sure will be fun. And if you ask about what gear do we have at the moment for this adventure, answer is quite simple – almost none. But that’s the best part about it. :)
All in all we are excited as new adventures lay ahead. ;)
