Ir noteikti lietas, ko Meksikāņi nemāk, bet vienu lietu viņi pārzina labi. Viņi māk ballēties! Kad sākām plānot mūsu maršrutu atpakaļ un Vankūveru sapratām, ka varam arī maršrutā ielikt Mazatlán gadskārtējo karnevālu. Visi priecīgi - braucam! :)
Tomēr arī ceļojot ir sliktās dienas… Vienai tādai bija vēlme uznākt man tieši tad, kad bija laiks Mazatlán karnevālam. Tā jau laikam ir, tu sapriecājies pārāk daudz, ka redzēsi to, ko gribēji un atnāk mega galvas sāpes un visu dienu cenšas izjaukt. Mēs gan nepadevāmies un par spīti visam sagaidījām arī karnevāla otro un iespaidīgāko daļu. Līdz galam gan palikt nepalikām, jo nav īsti skaidrs, cikos gals pienāk, daži teica, ka ap 4 no rīta. Un tas ir pilnīgi reāli skatoties uz to, ka pasākums aizņem visu krastmalu, kas ir ~4km gara. Pa vidu cilvēku ir tik daudz, ka pārvietošanās ir maigi sakot apgrūtināta. :)

There are certain things that Mexicans might not be good at, but partying is not one of them! They love and they know how to have a good time. When we started to lay out our route back to Vancouver, it came on us that we could get to Mazatlán just in time to see carnival. Happy time – let’s go! :)
Of course there are bad days when you travel, and one of those decided to come on the day of carnival. I had a feeling all day long that my head is about to blow up, but we really wanted to see the show, so it was time to suck it up and just go. We managed to see a good chunk of second part of parade (the real parade) and that can be called success for sure. No way we could stay until the end, but it was great experience anyhow. :)

[EN] Even McDonalds staff decided to take advantage of these masses of people and turn garbage bin holder into table and charge 10 pesos (~1 CAD) to use bathroom. Smart thinking… :)
